After many years of training with antiquated and worn out powerlifting equipments at the stadium, Peak Milk in its commitment to supporting the paralympians in Nigeria for reaching their goals, has today unveiled a new power gym equipments for training at the national stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Speaking at the handing over event, the Managing Director, FrieslandCampina WAMCO, Mr. Ben Langat said that the brand took up the challenge to renovate the stadium, to use the story of the paralympians to inspire and motivate other Nigerians across all walks of life.

“We were inspired by the achievement of the paralympians whose willpower, drive and self-motivation to win against all odds have seen them shine despite the obsolete and non-functional gym equipment and facilities they had to use in the past. They have shown us all that regardless of whatever challenges we face, with determination, we can always reach for our Peak” Langat said.

Langat then charged the Para-Powerlifting Team which is currently ranked No. 1 in the world to make good use of the newly installed world class gym equipment and continuously make the country proud through several record breaking achievements.

In his words, “The newly renovated gym, which is now of world-class standard would further inspire athletes, especially our Para-Powerlifting Team to continue to push the limits of excellence by winning more laurels for Nigeria” Dalung said.

The Minister called on other corporate bodies and multinationals to emulate FrieslandCampina WAMCO and the Peak brand by partnering with government at all levels to support sports development in the country.
