The Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation (IPEF) is set to mark its 15th Anniversary Celebration and Annual Merit Awards Ceremony on November 7, 2024, in Ijebu-Ode.
This milestone event highlights the Foundation’s commitment to advancing professional development and youth empowerment in Ijebuland since its inception in 2009.
Founded by the late Chief (Dr.) Sir Oladipupo Abiodun Bailey, IPEF has grown into a leading platform that promotes excellence by awarding scholarships to deserving Ijebu youths and recognising top Professionals whose works contribute to the region’s progress.
This year’s celebration promises to be grand, featuring a lecture and Awards ceremony. The event will be chaired by Olor’ogun Dr. Sonny Folorunsho Kuku, OFR, the Ogbeni Oja of Ijebuland. Mr. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Tinubu, will serve as the Guest of Honour, while Sir (Dr.) Sunday Taiwo Afolabi, Chairman Sifax Group, will be the Special Guest of Honour. Also expected to grace the occasion among others is, Chief (Mrs.) Clara Folashade Olumide, the first female Registrar of the University of Lagos.
Engr. Olusegun A.T. Mafe, Chairman of the IPEF Governing Council, remarked on the significance of the anniversary, saying, “This 15th anniversary is a testament to the enduring vision of our late Founder, Chief Bailey, who inspired all of us with his unwavering commitment to Ijebu’s professional heritage.
As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to the future with renewed vigour, continuing to support the aspirations of young professionals and ensuring that IPEF remains a beacon of excellence in Ijebuland and beyond.”
The event will also unveil the lunching of fund raising towards building a multipurpose Secretariat complex for the Foundation.
With an open invitation to all Ijebu professionals, Patrons, and well-wishers, the celebration will serve as a reflection on IPEF’s legacy of professionalism and its contributions to Ijebu’s collective growth.
