The Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) in its far reaching initiatives which are aimed at making the organization a truly professional and performance driven organization has made Abdullahi Aliyu Goje, a general manager from the eastern ports, the Image maker of the corporation (Corporate and Strategic Communications Division)
Determined to entrench efficiency coupled with the vision to reposition and further strengthen the organisation, the Hadiza Bala Usman led Management of NPA also approved the elevation of Ibrahim Nasiru and 11 others, to the rank of Assistant General Manager (AGM)
The agency in meeting acknowledged the need for change in status quo of the agency for the past few years.
Speaking during the meeting, Ibrahim Nasiru, principal manager public affairs of the organisation said, “The management notes that this review has become important because NPA’s structure has remained the same in spite of the 2006 concession which changed the Authority status from owner/operator to landlord’’
It was learnt that 11 others similarly affected in the current promotion exercise were Eze St. David Chima of the Audit Division and Ibezim Geofery of ICT who now move to Monitoring and Compliance Division; Fawole Adeleke Stephen of Accounts and Jagun Khadijat previously of Medical Services now moved to SERVICOM, as Assistant General Manager
Also promoted are Adah Ambrose and Bamgbala Tokunbo, both of ICT and Nwaiwu Bartholomew Chijioke of Procurement Division; just as NPA’s Abuja Laison office would now have Maltok Josephine Adar as AGM, alongside Engr. Ashade Olarewaju Kolawole of Dockyards.
Also on the list were Sobande Theresa Nkemdilim formerly of Personnel but moves to Administration; as well as Dr. Mrs Essien Titilola Ayoola of Medical Services.
All handover formalities are expected to be completed by September 8, 2017
