It was indeed a signature event as Campari trade partners across the country received glowing commendations from Paul Wilson, Managing Director, Brian Munro, for giving the brand top notch top- of-the-mind awareness and their remarkable contributions to its impressive success in the market in spite of the economic slow-down in 2016.

Nigeria’s rising status as a premium market for spirits was celebrated in high style on Friday 31 March 2017, when Brian Munro Limited, sole distributor of Campari in Nigeria held its Annual Distributor Awards for the 2016 financial year.

“In this circumstance you have done well as all of your efforts combined, has achieved remarkable success for the brand” said Wilson. The annual Campari Distributor Awards honours and compensates outstanding Distributors of the brand.

Campari Nigeria ambassador 2Baba kicked off the festivities with a scintillating rundown of his classic and latest hits before a select crowd of celebrities, marketers, customers and distributors alike at  the Renaissance Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, proving himself as a worthy ambassador for the Campari brand.

TEE-A complimented the evening delivering his signature rib-cracking humour to the delight of the audience.

The Managing Director further said: “Our remarkable brand has the distinction of being complemented by remarkable marketers and distributors, who have worked tirelessly despite the biting recession witnessed in 2016”.

Nigeria is one of over 190 countries across the globe where Campari is distributed, with the distinctive, vibrant red alcoholic liqueur renowned for being the base of some of the world’s most famed cocktails.

Guests at the Campari Distributors Award were no different, as the Campari Senator cocktail—a mix of Beer and Campari—proved a perennial favourite.

Campari Brand Manager, Rilwan Shofunde said the trend was a consequence of prior strategic moves to broaden Campari’s consumer base: “In November 2016 we hosted Nigeria’s first ever cocktail festival, where prominent mixologists showcased their skills. Since then, we’ve seen a rise in consumption of the Campari Senator, in particular, which is why it is the highlight of tonight’s celebrations. Accordingly, the dress code chosen for the event was the traditional “Senator” outfit.” {fcomments}
