L-R: Account Director, Lowe Lintas, Hycent Nwabuisi; Chief Executive Officer  Spectranet 4G LTE, David Venn; Head of Marketing, Spectranet 4G LTE, Mike Ogor; at the Spectranet Netflix signing of agreement.

As the internet TV becomes more popular with its attendant need for best possible streaming experience for customers, Netflix, the World’s leading Internet TV service and Spectranet, Nigeria’s leading 4G broadband service provider, have joined forces to provide customers with delightful streaming experience.

In line with this, Netflix today announced the appointment of Spectranet for the deployment of one of its first dedicated servers in Africa.  A statement by Spectranet signed by Mike Ogor, Head of Marketing, confirms that the high capacity server will hold the entire Netflix content library, in Lagos, providing Spectranet’s customers with the best possible video streaming performance.

Speaking on the rationale  for “the solution that offers faster delivery in a cost effective way” Mr David Venn, CEO of Spectranet, said “because we focus on providing families with an excellent and affordable broadband service, this partnership with Netflix means that our customers will be able to enjoy the very best TV experience available in Nigeria. We are honoured that Netflix has selected Spectranet for one of its first deployments in Africa and the only one in West Africa.”

Netflix offers a new way of watching TV, giving its members the ability to enjoy TV series and films when, how and where they want with seamless, instant access across TVs, tablets, Smart phones, game consoles and computers.

Netflix offers a great entertainment experience with many titles available in high-definition with Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound and some in Ultra HD 4K and HDR.

With fast.com, a simple-to-use website that helps people see how fast their Internet connection is, whether on mobile or broadband – Netflix offers an independent tool that consumers can use for greater insight and control of their Internet service.

People in Nigeria can try Netflix for free for one month by signing up at www.netflix.com. {fcomments}
